Trying to migrate to a workspace and followed all instructions so far. I dont have a prompt to Create Workspace under Account>Settings. Ive seen others with the same questions, but no solution to the issue.
Hello, I received the [Action Required]: “Personal Projects” space will be discontinued email notification today, but I don’t know how to tell which of my workspaces is the Personal Projects one. The tips and suggestions above say to look for the heading Personal Projects but that does not appear on my dashboard. Screenshot below for reference. Help please!
Hi @Monique24 , in your screenshot, click on Settings and then the Account tab. That should list the different spaces in categories, such as Organizations, Workspaces and Personal Projects.
Your personal projects space should have a yellow banner across it, as shown in this video.
@Monique24 , did you try switching into each one to see if the have the yellow warning ribbon, like in the video.
And are you logging into Asana using the same email address that you received the email?
@Richard_Sather, finally figured it out. I just remembered I had another Asana account with another email address that routes to the same mailbox. I logged in and the notification was for that account. Thanks so much for the assist!
I am trying to verify I have moved from personal projects workspace.
Is it possible there are “personal workspaces” that could have be renamed, if so, how can one verify if they are personal workspaces to prevent losing data? It’s a bit stressful to hope everything is done correctly without confirmation before December 15th.
When I create a new workspace, it looks exactly the same as the “personal workspace” I migrated from, so this has me to believe it is also a “personal workspace” with a different name.
The popup warning showed when I logged in, but after closing the window (I thought it was blocking settings) I no longer see the warning on any workspaces, including “personal workspace”.
Please, how can one verify the personal workspace and be sure new workspaces will not be lost.
I forgot to mention. Some workspaces show the settings/profile icon on the top right of the page and others show it on the bottom left. The bottom left seems to be a different layout than I am used to, leading me to believe this is the newest workspace design, but unfortunately most of my workspaces show the top right profile icon.
Hi Everyone, as you may already know we have deprecated the Personal Projects space on Dec 15th. We are allowing the space to remain open for a few more weeks to allow some users to perform last minute data migrations. If you have not migrated your data please DO SO NOW or you will loose access permanently.

Asana team your import tool is broken! I moved 2 projects to another workspace and in CSV file it has “completed date” for most of the task but when importing person project to a new workspace it completely ignores completed date and keep showing all tasks that have ever been there! such a bad issue to have for Asana, will sell my stocks as this is not acceptable in a modern software to not test simple things like that.

Please note we have extended access past our Dec 15th deadline to allow for missed recoveries. This is our last and final exception. Personal projects domain will be permanently closed and deleted by this Friday (1/30) at 12:00PM PST.
After that date, access will no longer possible and all data will be removed from Asana systems as the space will be fully discontinued.
To help facilitate your migration we highly encourage you use any of the following tools:

In-app CSV export/import (see help article) - Please note CSVs do not include task status (completed) or comments. However, it is still good to have as a backup!

Hi, I also realised this exact same thing today!! And I am at shock. All my Personal Projects items are no longer visible and I can’t recall a really understanding that it will be closed for ever. I really should have access to these date urgently.
Great idea, and I am wondering why the company didn’t take on this feedback. I only found out Monday May 19 that the personal projects platform have been removed. I never received any notification or emails and when I logged onto the platform I didn’t see any warning?? Wondering if any one else experienced this?

I hope you are well, are you aware that no everyone was aware of this. Was there a mitigation strategy in the event not all users could have met this deadline?? I can understand the company no longer wanted to support this platform; nevertheless there should have been consideration for users who were unaware of this activity to still be able to access their data at a later period.
I believe emails automatically went out to all users using whatever email address you have on account. If you haven’t whitelisted Asana, it’s possible the notification emails went to your spam folder, and if not seen there within 30 days, would probably have been “deleted forever” (skipping the Deleted folder), so it would appear that you never received anything. Just a thought!
I am someone who thankfully saw the migration info in a banner, but as I mentioned above, I didn’t receive an email - and I regularly check my spam. So I am sure there are other users who also may not have received it.
