Personal projects migration v2

:light_bulb:Im confused about the deprecation of the personal projects feature.

A few years ago I was forced to separate my workspace projects and my personal projects when I changed jobs. To see my personal projects, I have to login with my personal email, not my work email. But I do see “Personal Projects” under my name when logged in for this account?

Does that mean this separate account will be discontinued? I am quite confused and the Asana documentation is lacking. What should I do?

If your projects are currently stored in a private workspace you have created, then you will not lose access to them. If not, you’ll need to migrate them to a workspace or organisation to retain access. Visit this page for information on what this means and how to transfer your projects.

Visit the Help Center homepage.

  • Click the chat icon in the bottom-right corner to open the Asana Support chatbot.

  • Briefly describe your issue in the chat window.

  • If the suggested Help Center articles do not resolve your issue, click Yes when asked, "Would you like support for this question?" to submit a ticket.

  • Enter your first and last name, email address, and any additional details about the issue.

  • The chatbot will attempt to identify the nature of your request; you can approve the selected topic or decline it and choose the topic from a list. General topics appear first, then more specific ones (e.g., Logging in > Password verification link).

  • Provide any other relevant details and attach files like screenshots if they would be helpful.

  • The chatbot will confirm that your request has been received. You’ll also receive an email at the address you provided. When logged in, you can view your newly opened case in the Asana Customer Portal.

To clarify, Im

  1. Getting emails that tell me to migrate my personal space

  2. When I log onto Asana with my organization email, I do NOT see a ‘Personal Projects’ option. I do not get any banner warning as shown in the instructions.

  3. When I log onto Asana with my personal email, I see only ‘Personal Projects’ (rather than my organization). I do not get any banner warning as shown in the instructions.

  4. In my Personal Projects account, the “organization” field is empty and not editable (see attached).

Is the account I have under my personal email a “private workspace” or not? How would I make this determination?
