I’d love an option to have tasks open in Full Screen view whenever I click on them. More often than not, when I click a task, I want to focus on that task, and I don’t need the task list for context. As it stands now, I’m clicking the expand arrows button almost every time before I can efficiently work with the task I’m digging into.
@JJackson I second this!

@JJackson, Is there any chance you might find this workaround helpful until/if Asana implements your request?
Right-click on a task (like in the tasks list) and choose this option:
It does create another tab, but when you’re done Cmd/Ctrl+4 closes it quickly.
Thanks,

@lpb Hey, sorry I didn’t see your reply from months ago. I do use “Open in new tab” quite a bit, but it doesn’t really solve my problem. The flow is cumbersome - 3 clicks with the mouse, including having to find the “Open in new tab” menu item, which is not always in the same spot. When I click a task in a list, I almost never want to keep ~60% of my screen dedicated to left side-bar and the list itself. I want to focus on the content I just selected. The back button can take me back to prior where I came from easily enough. Making this a configurable option so it doesn’t disrupt folks who like the current experience seems reasonable to me.
