Notifications appear to be random on the android app. Sometimes I get an email about tasks that are due that day, most of the time I don’t. The android app itself notified me once, but never again. I have enabled notifications in the app and in the phone settings. I don’t really understand what’s happened and why it is intermittent. It’s not really very helpful when I only get notified of tasks “sometimes”. I have set due dates and times on tasks.
There could be a couple of reasons for this. First check on the Web Version are the tasks that you are expecting to be notified in the Today Section of your My Tasks?
Are the notifications present in your Inbox in both the Web Version or Mobile App version?
Make sure you haven’t got the Hack that stops notification to the Inbox for tasks Due Today from going to the Inbox.
You will not be notified at the time you have set the task to be due just on the day that it was due
On your mobile make sure you allow Asana to run in the background and to not be shutdown by the phone. I had lots of trouble ticketing with a Huawei P10, getting that to send me notification.

Thank you James. Strangely, after I posted this the notifications started appearing again. I hadn’t gone into the settings or tweaked any config options, so I’m not quite sure if there was a bug and now Asana has fixed it. And no, I don’t have a hack so I don’t think it was that.
I currently work off the free version of Asana, and I remember when I worked in my old organisation I implemented Asana Premium and never had any issues with notifications, in fact they were so reliable they annoyed people. So I’m not sure if your instances of Asana affect it’s features and functionality?
