I am a new Asana user… I have setup a new team, and a project underneath it. I have added users to both the team as well as the project, and setup their email notifications to receive all notifications.
I can send an email directly to the project and it creates the new task, but it appears to only be sending an email notification to me as the project owner, and not any of the project members that I have given access to the project.
Does anyone have any tips on how to set this up to work?
In order for your colleague to receive an email notification when a task is created in this project (whether it is created by email or directly from Asana), they need to have their “Activity” notifications enabled (refer to the seciont called " Email Notification Settings" in this article) + “task creation notification” enabled within the project in question (Setting Up a Project in Asana | Product Guide • Asana Product Guide).
Hope this helps @Eric_Forden; please let me know if you have any follow-up questions!
I just confirmed that all Email Notification Settings are enabled for the project member.
If I create a task directly from Asana, the email notification goes out as expected. But if I create a task my sending an email, the email notification is not going out to the project member.
I have the same issue, when adding a task to a project (not via email), no email notifications go out-- despite the box being checked on both the project side and the recipient side. It shows up as an added task in the inbox, but no email goes out.
