Need Help Preparing for Workflow Specialist Certification Exam – Limited Access to Features

Hi all,

I’m about to take my Workflow Specialist Certification exam, but I’m running into a bit of a roadblock and could use some advice.

My organization is currently on the Basic Plan, so I don’t have access to certain features like portfolios, goals, and others that I’ll likely get after the holidays. In the meantime, I’d like to practice before the exam. I tried creating a personal project on my Ambassador profile, but I can’t seem to add any fields—there’s no “+” sign, and even the “Customize” function seems blocked.

I vaguely remember that we’re not supposed to create new projects in this space, but I’m trying to find a workaround so I can pass the exam before the holidays (I feel ready and it’s fresh in my mind). My main concern is that once I start the final exam, I might hit a point where I can’t complete certain requirements due to these limitations.

Has anyone in a similar situation successfully passed the certification? Any advice on how to work around this or how to prepare given my current access restrictions would be really appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello @Emilie_Caron1,

You are correct that we are not supposed to create projects in our Ambassador workspace.

Having completed the certification, I can tell you that having access to all of the features outlined in the training is not necessary to successfully complete it. The Asana team that created the training has done a great job of thoroughly covering the material needed to pass the question portion of the certification.

Best of luck!

Hi @Emilie_Caron1 , can you try creating a new Asana account by signing up with an email address you’ve never used before? That should create a new Asana space with full features available for a trial period which should be long enough for you to complete the course.

Thank you, I’ll try!
