I can create tasks, but not projects, in the asanaverse asana workspace for ambassadors that we have access to. However, when I try to use my personal workspace, it says I need to pay for a plan to use it. I’m wondering if we get a special environment as ambassadors to try things out before committing our companies to make the switch. I think it’s a long shot, but what do you know?
I’m not sure if it would help with your specific goals, but I set up a separate team for myself to use as a sandbox. My test projects are marked as private to that team until I’m either ready to move them to a different team for wider implementation, or apply the concepts to existing projects elsewhere.
Hello @RaphaelFakhri and thank you very much for your feedback. Thank you as well to @Leigh_Flynn for providing us with a great workaround.
Ambassadors are added to the Asanaverse as guests when they complete the Ambassador Orientation course, and the workspace contains educational resources, templates, and training materials. The limitation you’re experiencing is intentional. Ambassadors have comment-only permissions in most Asanaverse projects to prevent accidental notifications to all 24k+ members. Asanaverse is designed as a resource hub for Ambassadors, not as a sandbox environment for experimentation.
Ambassadors typically use their own free workspace or request a trial from their company to explore premium features in a test environment. If you need project-creation capabilities to test Asana before your company commits, we’d recommend starting a free trial in your own workspace or asking your company admin to create a test team so you can experiment without impacting live work.
If you want us to review your specific account setup or trial options, reach out to Support here: https://help.asana.com/s/article/how-do-i-get-support-from-asana?language=en_US
Also, if you’d like a true “sandbox” option in the Ambassador program, I’ve shared this feedback with the team. You can add your voice here too: https://forum.asana.com/c/forum-en/product-feedback/20
I hope this helps. Have a great day and enjoy your Asana experience!
