Need help creating a rule to set Task Assignee for a Follow-Up Task that was created in a Form

I have created an Asana Form that my team uses to create tasks. I have added the ability to create a Follow-Up task on the original Form with a simple “yes or no” question. If “Yes” is selected, they are given options for the follow-up questions for the follow-up task’s assignee, title, due date, and description.

I’ve been able to add all of the information to the follow-up task, except the assignee. Here is a screenshot of the only options. I’m fine with creating a secondary rule if that is necessary.

Your help is greatly appreciated!

@J.D_Mixon, I’m afraid those are you only options for setting the Assignee field natively (plus AI Studio, if you have access to it, which could address your issue natively).

Perhaps Flowsana.net (@Phil_Seeman) permits this, if you could use a third-party app (a good one!).

Thanks,

Larry

Yes, @J.D_Mixon, you could do this with a Flowsana rule - if you store the name or email address of the desired assignee in a custom field that’s mapped to the appropriate form field, then you can avail yourself of this Flowsana rule action:
