My access is approved, but I still don't have access

I had access to a project for years. Last night it said I need to request access. My access has been approved, but I still don’t have it. It seems like I’m stuck in a loop. Access is approved, but when I try to access the project, it says I need to request permission.

I tried different browsers, cleared my cookies, and restarted my device, but it still doesn’t work.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Hi @Steve53 thanks for posting to the community forum and welcome! Did you perhaps change email during this time period that maybe the first place to look.

I am having the same problem, and this is impacting all invited users in my organization. Nobody can see any project they have been accessing fora years!!!

I think it is related to the new roles based features.

This is really annoying.

The email was changed a month or so ago, but I had access since then. I can access on my phone with the app, but not on computer with browser or the app.

@Paula_Remez_Grid suspects it is linked to RBAC:

Thank you, I think that is the issue I’m having. Due to Role based access.

Flagging @Forum-team team for possible critical bug. I can’t access my project anymore.

I recommend each of you contact Support in the meantime; they’re the only ones who can help by looking at your particular environment:

I contacted support. Haven’t heard back in a few days and still can’t access the project.

I’m having the same issue.
I can still access the projects on the mobile app, but not on the web or macOS app.

Hi. I think is related to this new feature. Project’s members that have a domain e-mail different from the org domain,. are not allowed to access pojects they have accesed until yesterday.

Now, they are asking access to the projects, access is granted… but still they can’t access the projects. It’s annoying…

@Paula_Remez_Grid Besides mentioning it here, I’d advise to contact support for this. See: How to contact our Support Team 📧

I’ve found this new topic, where another organization is also having the same problem we are having in my organization:

Thank you. Hopefully, this can be fixed soon. It’s extremely frustrating.

I am having the same issue since 11/14. I have sent an contacted support but haven’t heard back

Hi, we are experiencing a strange problem.

Users cannot access some (but not all) projects, where they had previously had access with no issues. When selecting the project from the sidebar, instead of the usual list of tasks etc, they see this.

The Admin approves access, but it makes no difference. The user still cannot access the project.

Individual tasks in the users task list can still be viewed and edited. New tasks can still be created. But the project list cannot be viewed.

We have this issue in the desktop app (2.4.1 on Mac), Safari, Chrome & Firefox browsers. But not in the iOS app, where everything works fine.

We have tried reinstalling the desktop app, clearing caches & cookies in the browsers with no success.

Can anyone provide some wisdom, insight or assistance?

Welcome, @stuart_spires, and sorry.

I’ve merged your post into an existing topic where you can follow along for an update when the problem is addressed.

Thanks,

Larry
