Today Asana seemed to behaved very weird, with random users being shown an error message where they would need to request access to the project board - of which they’re already part of.
To confirm this suspicion, we removed the affected member from the project board entirely and re-added them. Again they’re able to see the board, but not the lists tab. Would appreciate if anyone has encountered this before as Asana support is taking too long to respond. Thank you!
We have been facing the same problem since last week; several projects are affected, but only certain users. We don’t have mixed domains as far as I know.
Is there a way we can escalate this? @Arthur_BEGOU, @Emily_Roman
Starting today, I’m not able to do anything with most projects where I’m the assigned project admin for my company.
I mostly use the List tab to manage tasks, and on several projects, it either immediately kicks me back to the Dashboard tab or prompts me to request access.
I tried this as a test, and it sent the access request to me to approve, which I did- this didn’t seem to fix anything.
There are a few projects that seem to be working normally, and this doesn’t seem to have affected anyone else at my company yet; for example, I’m an approved collaborator on several of my coworker’s projects and can view them without problems, and he can view all of my affected projects just fine, even where I can’t.
@Forum-team, I think I also so another report or two in Slack, so paging you in case you might be aware of anything or want to escalate. Not sure if it could be related, but I recall the Role Based Access Control may have just rolled out.
For what it’s worth, earlier today I helped one of my customers solve something very similar to this issue, which I believe may have been related. Here it is, in case it helps others:
Prerequisites: you need to be on an Enterprise plan, and be a Super Admin or get your Super Admin to do this for you:
Steps:
Go to Admin Console > Launch Asana and choose Work Access mode, as shown here.
Once in work access mode, try revisiting the project. It should provide you with access.
I’ve been in touch with support all day since most of our members are experiencing this issue. I haven’t been able to identify a clear pattern in the behavior, but I really hope they can resolve it ASAP since multiple teams haven’t been able to work normally today.
