Locking tasks into projects

Is there any way to lock the project field on tasks please?

I am creating a project and don’t want anyone to be able to remove the tasks from the project (else my project is incomplete!). Is there anyway that I can lock this field so the task is never removed from the project by other people who have access to the task (mainly by being assigned to them to carry something out).

Hi @Lucy_Earlam, welcome to the Asana Community Forum! If you want to limit who can edit or delete tasks from your project, you can set the project permissions as Comment only. Please note that if you assign the task, the assignee will be able to edit the task.

You’re right @Lucy_Earlam! They will only be able to add new comments to the task but they won’t be able to update the task description.

But would they be able to check the task off as complete?

Hi @Shanti_G, welcome to the Asana Community Forum! if you assign the task, the assignee will be able to edit the task and mark it complete :slight_smile:

Is it possible for the assignee to only have the capability to mark it complete, but not alter the task in any other way (text or delete)?
