Is there a way to export Comments to PDF?

Hello,

I’m looking for a way to export a list of tasks/subtasks with their descriptions and comments. Is there a way to do that? If not comments, is there a way to export the task description?

Hi @AmyPeters , you can use the export to CSV functionality to export the task description. These will show up under the header ‘Notes’.

Comments will not appear in the CSV export but you could use the API to extract them.
If you could explain your use case and the ‘why’ behind your question, I could perhaps suggest an alternative.

Hi Richard, thank you for your response.

My team created a “best practices” template that outlines various processes and links to accomplish them. The list has evolved and we’ve slowly been moving notes from the comments to the task descriptions. They are looking to export a PDF document (ideally) of a section with a list of about 20 tasks to see more easily and share at a higher level with stakeholders. So formatting is important and if there is a way to do it with minimal editing would be ideal. I looked into Asana2Go as an option but it looks like it also does not do comments.

Thanks for sharing your use case, @AmyPeters. I’m thinking that you could perhaps use the ‘Summarize task’ AI powered feature. You can copy the results into the tasks’ description fields and then export the project…?
