Ah, then @Ka_Nishiyama must be right, then.
So excited to see this update! Thanks! Any update on the rollout schedule?
Glad to hear that, @Shana_Wolfe. We haven’t received an ETA for full rollout yet, but as soon as we receive any updates, we’ll share here
Hi! If you’ve accidentally clicked on the wrong type of note you want to create is there a way to go back? I can’t seem to find one, but could definitely be missing something! For instance, if you clicked on Project Background, but wanted to use the template for Meeting Notes instead. Thank you!
Hi @Danielle_R8F , if you click on a wrong ‘note template’ button (as per below), you could simply hit Ctrl
+ A
on your keyboard (for Windows - or Cmd
+ A
for Macs) to select all the text and simply hit backspace -that will delete the entire note template so you can start over
I use MS OneNote too for my notes.
You can create a link in OneNote to a particular note and paste the link into Asana - in the new Notes section or in the description of a task or in its comments.
Hello, I was able to add a Notes tab a couple of days ago, but now it is gone - i.e. I no longer have it as an option when I click on ‘Add tab’.
Could you please help?
Thank you
Mathieu
So true re: competitors
Thank you, Richard! This is exactly what I was referring to. I’ve since figured it out, but this screenshot is great to share with my teams.
Best news EVER!! Thank you!
So excited about this!
@Vanessa_N - question: is there a way to link to a specific section of the note? Or add comments to sections of the notes? I’m thinking somewhat of a Google Docs functionality

Just some thoughts from my seat on the bus…
Having multiple note tabs (as previously mentioned) is not ideal.
For meeting notes, as an example, I would expect to be able to select Meeting Notes and then have it populate on the same tab - pushing previously meeting notes down. Or be presented a list of previous notes for review, where you can select one or choose to add a new one.
I would also expect to be able to:
-When selecting the calendar icon, have a pop-up calendar to allow me to select the date of the meeting.
- When selecting the Attendees icon, have the project team list pop-up to multi-select participants.
- When selecting the Agenda icon, have the project plan pop up to multi-select tasks to include.
- When a task is linked in the agenda, have the sub bullet points beneath it auto populate as a comment on the task. See images of example where I would anticipate the yellow notes (captured during meeting discussions) to be added to the linked task above it.
- When you create task from text (love this), have task detail menu open so you have input assignee and due date right away, versus having to track down the new created task.
Don’t know if any of these are possible… but sharing is caring
It would be great to be able to export the notes as a .doc file. Is this by chance coming soon?
Hi @Rachel_Hazen, great point. It’s not currently possible, but I’d recommend creating a feedback topic in the Product Feedback section so you and other users can upvote it
Same for @Julie_Donnellon and @Juan_Reveles (welcome to the Forum, Juan ). We really appreciate your feedback.
This is our first shot at Project Notes, so hopefully, we’ll add more features in future updates. I’m passing this feedback on internally, but feel free to create feature request topics in our Product Feedback section to increase visibility and allow users to upvote them.
Any chance we can get version/edit history and collapsible headers here?
Is this available on mobile? I can not seem to find the navigation to project notes on mobile. Am I missing something?
Hi @Mason_Musick, as this is a brand new feature, it’s not available on the mobile apps yet, but hopefully it can be added in a future update. Feel free to create a Product Feedback topic so you and other users can add your vote
Hi @Sam_Pineda, I’d recommend creating a Product Feedback topic for this request and adding your vote to increase visibility
