Welcome to the Asana Community Forum, @ayman.kaouri! and thanks for sharing this feedback with us. I’ll let you know if we plan to implement this feature in the future
Yes! Please add this ability! I just created a project with multiple templates and hundreds of tasks. I don’t have time to go create another custom field and populate all of these tasks 50 at a time…
This is so important and has so many use cases to keep the system clean and tidy E.g. When task is marked as done remove tag “next up” or when task has not been modified in 30 days add tag “to review”. This prevents things slipping through the cracks.
Asana does not have a public roadmap, however they constantly monitor all feedback request threads and the total votes and views.
Whenever there is an update they will share it here
Yes, I need something that allows a rule to move a task to my “Priority Today” section and think tags is the best, easiest way to do this using a “Priority” tag on a task. I’d rather not have to get another app to do this.
Hey @Cindi_Delany if you use a single-select custom field then you can set up rules already.
Not sure if that helps in your case but I have been seeing a lot of users using custom fields for this
Ditto - Assigning a tag should be able to act as a rule trigger. Most recently, I would like certain tags to trigger adding that task to another project (i.e. multi-home that task).
The advantage of tags is that they are universal to the organization vs custom fields being project specific (i.e. once a tag is created it is more easily available across all projects).
Custom fields don’t have to be project-specific; if you add a custom field to your organizational custom fields library, then it is available to all projects as well.
