A rule in your My Tasks with a trigger of “Task is added to My Tasks” should accomplish the same thing. By definition, tasks get added to your My Tasks when they are assigned to you.
hi, thanks for asking this question @Esteban_Giannini! We have the exact same issue… I just tried to switch back to the old rule builder but that seems to be no longer possible @Vanessa_N. Is that right?
Hi @Machteld_Vervaet, welcome to our Community Forum. You are correct, unfortunately it’s no longer possible to move back to the old rule builder. Let me check with the team if they have an ETA to share regarding this fix.
Hi @Machteld_Vervaet, apologies for the confusion. Our Developers clarified that the classic rules builder is still available, and they will maintain that possibility to switch between versions until this issue is fixed. You can switch to the classic rule builder by clicking the three dots at the top of the rule set up page, as illustrated here. I hope this helps!
I’m SO GLAD THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED in the forum! This is a huge issue for my department. We didn’t experience any heartburn related to it until recently because we were using the class rule builder. But then, rules I had within bundles stopped functioning (have an open/unresolved support ticket #1150984) and I was told that I should troubleshoot by replacing the rules in the bundle with the conditional rule builder. Not only did it not fix the issue with rules in my bundles not triggering, but now the rules that were serving my department for over a year (and were the basis of new workflows under construction) no longer function. I submitted another support ticket (#1162135) for this and was told they couldn’t resolve the problem but that it would be escalated to the product team.
Using multi-select fields as a way to capture data and trigger a variety of rules is effective not only for space within a task (prevents stacking field after field after field) but also as a way to evolve options in a checklist over time without a lot of lift to procedural/resource updates/teaching team members new ways of doing things.
Hi @Katie_Melby, I see that our Developers are still working on your escalation request, and the agent you’ve been chatting to is monitoring the progress. Hopefully they will have an update for you soon!
Hi everyone,
We’re gradually launching a major enhancement to our Conditions & Branching feature in rules, designed to make your experience even smoother and more intuitive.
We’ve heard your concerns about the new rule builder being confusing and not fully replicating the capabilities of the old one. With this update, rule creators will have more control over exactly how their rules are triggered and the actions they perform.
For more information about the new Conditions & Branching feature, please check out this guide article.
The launch is currently at 10% and we hope to have it completed by October 11th, but we’ll keep you posted if the ETA changes.
We hope you enjoy it!
Hi everyone, just following up here to let you know that this has now been launched to 100% of users!
