How to see more than 10 dependencies in the menu option

When adding dependencies i can only see 10 tasks to choose from and they are usually not the ones i want even after typing in the full task name. Is this a bug?

It looks like a bug. It only filters limited results and there is no “Show more” to see more results.
This and the wildcard in search, both should be available, in any kind of search in Asana.

Let’s try to solve this together. Would you mind confirming if the name you are trying is from a subtask or a task? It would be super helpful if you could record a screencast to help us visualize the issue. Loom is a great app for video screencasts: https://www.useloom.com/

In your video screencast, we recommend that you use a Chrome Incognito window and have your Javascript console open:

• Browse in private - Computer - Google Chrome Help
• Chrome DevTools - Chrome Developers

Try to include the entire browser window, including URL bar, in the video screencast.

i’ve done a recording of a task (project) where i’m trying to add multiple subtasks as dependents. there are supposed to be 5 dependents and i can only add 4. It doesn’t seem to find the subtask *Unhide page from FR Ideas hub

Hi @Joanna_Yiptatchung, so sorry I’m not sure how I missed your post!

You are right, I see that Unhide page from FR Ideas hub subtask doesn’t appear when you try to add it as dependent. I’ll need to escalate this to our product team so we can investigate further, can you just send me the URL of the subtask (Unhide page from FR Ideas hub) and the URL of the main task please? You can send them to me via DM clicking on my username in the forum > Message.

Hi @Joanna_Yiptatchung, apologies for the late follow-up here! Our team confirmed they will work on a solution for this issue but we don’t have an estimate ETA to fix this issue. In the meantime, you can copy the task link and paste it in the search when you are marking the task as dependent. I’ll keep you posted as soon as I have any news!
