The title says it all. I need to assign all the subtasks of a task to a member. Is there any way to do it? Currently I need to do it manually one by one and it’s very time consuming.
@Mas-E - in list view, if you expand a task (to see its subtasks), you should be able to bulk-select the tasks and then add an assignee all at once. You can also do this from the Gantt view.
Thanks for the tip but the problem is that some subtasks also have subtasks and all of them are shown.
@Mas-E - Are you saying you also want to assign out subtasks of subtasks? I think it’s generally agreed that going beyond one layer of subtasks gets quite messy unless you’re just using them as a punch list instead of assignable items.
There are some other workarounds (e.g., multi-home all subtasks to another project to enable bulk-editing another layer down), but short of using the API and a 3rd party integrator, I don’t know how you would accomplish your request with more than one layer without lots of complications…
