Gmail to Asana post a comment integration issue

Hi,

I’m having issues posting comments from Gmail to Asana projects ‘comments’ feed. When I try to post the email as a comment I get error message, “Could not post comment.”

I’m using the chrome extensions ‘Asana for Gmail’ from https://asana.com/

Steps I follow are:

  • In Gmail, I locate the email/gmail message
  • click 3 Asana dots on right pane of gmail window
  • search the Asana task I wish to post the comment on
  • click post
  • error message appears ‘Could not post comment’, and gmail/email message does not post to Asana task

To resolve the issue I have done the steps below but does not fix the issue

  1. checked the Settings for the extension but all seems in order
  2. removed the extension, refreshed my web browser (Ctrl R), and re-installed

Does anyone have an ideas or suggestions for a fix?

Thanks for the speedy response.

I have followed your suggestions but this does not seem to resolve issue.

I use a PC with chrome and only have a gmail account which I use through my chrome web browser (not gmail app), so was unable to test with safari or ms edge, but I did install and test with mozilla firefox asana extension but continued to get the same error message, “Could not post comment.”, when using the Asana extension.

Do you have any other suggestions for a fix or can you raise a support ticket for me?
