Hi @Alla_Shapiro, welcome to the Asana Community Forum and apologies for the issue here!

Could you please try to uninstall and reinstall the Gmail add-on?

Looking forward to your reply!

Hi @Emily_Roman, I did this multiple times. I tried to uninstall and install again today. Same issue.

Here is an article where you can fix something went wrong error. Read this article to learn all the measures and instructions.

Hi all, I’ve got multiple people on my team getting the same issue, noting it does work for me fine so it’s hard to replicate. It is installed through admin so they are unable to uninstall-re-install.

issue: when going to Asana add-on there is the message: “something went wrong when executing the add-on”.

Hi @Stefan_van_Boxtel, sorry to hear that your colleagues are running into issues with the Add on. Since this seems to be specific to their accounts, I’d recommend having them reach out to our Support team. Please advise them to share the troubleshooting steps they have already taken, so that our Support team can continue to assist them from there.

As it appears to be happening for a large number of my staff, this isn’t workable. They have asked for myself as the comms person to look into this.

Hi @Stefan_van_Boxtel, no worries, you can submit the request yourself and if Support needs to access your colleagues’ accounts, they will just ask you to add them in CC to the conversation. This is an issue that unfortunately we don’t have tools to further troubleshoot here in the Forum, and is usually handled by Support.

I am having the same issue. I recently created a personal Asana account and downloaded the Chrome extension, and when I went to try to create my first task from an email, I received the same error message. It does not create the task. Please advise.

Hi @Beverly_Schreiber, sorry to hear that you are also experiencing this issue. I still can’t replicate this on my end, but I’ve escalated this case to our Developers for investigation and will keep you all posted.

I’m having the exact same problem, seeing the exact same error. In the web browser and app.

Hi everyone, our Developers are still working on this case, but in the meantime, we’d recommend installing and using our new Chrome Extension instead. You can find more information about it here in this post.

Hi folks, our Developers have confirmed that this issue has been fixed! If you are still experiencing problems, please reinstall the extension. Thanks for your patience!
