Global Task Templates and Rules

I have not found a recent thread relating to this, so I thought I would pose the question:
Is there any way to ‘globalize’ or ‘export / import’ Task Templates and/or Rules from a Project Template?

Our issue is this: We are a global team, and each region uses multiple Project/Campaign spaces. These are created using a Project Template that contains Rules and Task Templates. The issue is, if a task template is refined, or a new rule is added - it does not reflect across previous built Project/Campaign spaces.

A broader issue is that the company is further divided into multiple global business units (each with it’s own separate team), which means that TEAM A rules/tasks are different from TEAM B, C, D etc.

Does anyone know if there is an efficient way to update existing Asana Projects? Currently if i create a new rule (for example) I have to go into every existing Project that my team uses, in order to rebuild the rule. This is very time consuming and makes me sad.

Hi Randy,
Creating your rules in Bundles should accomplish this goal. As I understand it, when a bundle is updated, that update is automatically reflected in all the projects and templates using that Bundle

Welcome, @Randy_Hryhorczuk,

As @Shiva_Thomson mentions, Bundles will help keep multiple project updated with respect to rules and task templates, as you requested, as well as other customizations.

But re your other considerations, and re making task templates available more globally than within a project template, see my post here with a workaround:

Also, the original topic above containing that post may be one you want to vote on; click its title to scroll to the top then click the purple Vote button.

Thanks,

Thank you Shiva - very helpful direction for me to look into!

Thanks for the added info Larry. I appreciate the link for further review. I’m going to see if I can get this implemented for our team asap. Cheers!
