Form submission project access

Did a search and didnt find exactly what i was looking for:

I have an expense reimbursement form submission process. I just want the submitters to be able to access the project and see only their submissions, not everyone else’s. Is there a way to do this? It seems simple in concept. Thanks.

Hi @Geoffrey_Brandt , in your form’s settings, you will need to set the form’s access to your Organization only (just members from your company who have an Asana account will be able to ise the form). This will enable the switch further down the list of the form’s settings which says ‘Add submitters as collaborators’. Once that is set, your submitters will be added to the tasks they submit, automatically.

For your project’s privacy, click on the blue share button in the top right area and make sure the project’s access setting is set to Private to members and check it is only shared with select members (or just yourself). i.e. remove any Teams that it might be already shared with. That will make your project ‘truly’ private.

thanks. so submitters will only be able to see a filtered view of their submissions/tasks when viewing that project?

No, not quite. If you do NOT dhare the project, each submitter will have access to the task via search and will receive updates via their Asana Inbox.

Alternatively, if you add them to the project, they will see every task, even ones they did not submit.
