Form button in Projects is a disaster—please fix or remove it!!

I love the forms functionality in Asana but it is also a significant source of confusion for users. “How do I find the form for [project]?” is probably the one question I’ve had more than any other. They don’t show up in search, it’s not easy to find forms from the home screen unless you already have it starred or have used it recently. I’ve had SO MANY discussions walking people through how to find the form and then hit the star so they can find it easily in the future.

We use a content calendar project to manage our marketing & comms work, and I’ve added submission forms for users across the company to add content. For less experienced users, this blue button next to the section name is awesome because it looks like the natural place to go if want to make a submission.

So why does it open the form in edit mode???

For the 2nd time in 3 months I’ve had to “rescue” a form on a project because of this—someone just this morning opened the form, saw that there were labels and places to add information, and started making their submission, before realizing halfway through that it some things just didn’t make sense, and I had to reconstruct the form fields & labels to fix their changes.

I added this to the product feedback forum, but it is such a massive UX failure that I’d like to see if it’s possible to expedite a fix for it. "Forms" Button on sections should open submission view, not edit view

Can the dev team PLEASE either change the button so it opens the form in submission view, or get rid of it completely? We should ALMOST NEVER be editing the forms, so having access to edit mode right up front makes no sense at all.

It would also be nice to be able to lock/protect forms so that they can only be edited by certain users, or at least have to be unlocked before editing.
