Flowsana rules not working when triggering the rule on multiple tasks at once

Hi all,

I am slowly learning my way around Flowsana and how to integrate it with the standard Asana Rules. I have a Flowsana rule set up so that when a parent custom field is changed, all subtasks also received that same custom field information (see screenshot below).

When testing it out today, I noticed that it worked (albeit slowly) when I was only changing the triggering custom field on a single task. However, when I selected 2 or more tasks it worked on the first task but not the others or it worked on 2 tasks but not consistently.

Below is a screenshot. The field called “Monitor” is set up on Flowsana so that when the parent milestone is changed, the subtasks all receive the same information. I cant get it to work consistently when editing multiple tasks simultaneously. We often edit up to the max 50 tasks at once with this field. Is there a way to ensure it works when editing multiple tasks?

Hi @EmilyW , I’ve rarely had any issues with Flowsana but let’s ping it’s creator @Phil_Seeman for help here.

Hi @EmilyW,

I’m sure we can get this worked out.

Since this will require us looking into our diagnostic logs for your specific tasks and IDs, the best thing is if you can go to a parent task where the subtasks did not get populated as you expected, use the “Copy task link” option on it, and send the task link to us at support@flowsana.net along with a reference to this forum thread. For comparison, it might also be helpful if you could send a link to a parent task where it did populate the subtasks as expected.

We can then take a look and see what’s going on. Thanks!

Thank you for responding. I ended up going with an alternative to avoid the issue. If it occurs in other places again, I will certainly let you know! Thank you
