PLEASE add this feature!!!
- 1 for me and +6 from all my team members (I’m adding them for dramatic emphasis). Our big issue is due date notifications, especially for tasks with cascading dependencies. One change results in a ton of cascading updates in inbox that aren’t helpful and are really frustrating to wade through. The inability to filter which notifications you want to get is a major headache, and everyone on our team would REALLY love a way to filter/select which notifications they receive.
I know you can filter by @ mention, but the ability to choose which items in ‘Activity Updates’ you want to get notifications for in your Inbox would make the inbox far more useable for us
+1 from me, too. We have a huge board project and don’t need all those notifications “X moved task Y to Z” or “X marked Y als complete”. We’d like to get only notifications when someone leaves a comment.
+4 from my team as well. Need to be able to choose which notifications we receive.
+1. After a project leaves my hands, it’s less likely to need my input as it moves to completion. But less likely is not the same thing as never. For every 10 or 15 notifications I get at that stage, I might get one where I’m @ mentioned. That’s a big ratio. And it means that to make sure I don’t miss anything that requires my input, I have to comb through dozens of messages a day unnecessarily. Adds up to a lot of time taken away from projects I’m actively working on.
+1 (and 4 more for my teammates) Our team has a separate document to paste and link in Asana tasks when we mention each other and then use comments to let the others know. This is both a waste of time and a knowledge management issue as it leads to diverging conversations.
+1
Is it possible to get @mentions sent via what’s app. Trying to avoid any emails. I keep my whats app’s up to date & feel we will be a lot more productive if I respond promptly.
+1
I don’t want to get emails for task assignments, this would quickly flood my inbox. So I had to deactivate notifications considering any choice includes getting notified for new tasks. But then, there is no way to get notified when being @mentioned so those comments get ignored.
As a result, we decided to use external tools to communicate over tasks, which sounds inefficient.
+1 for more control over notifications. Being able to filter for ONLY @mentions (and not including ever subsequent update that happens on that thread) would be incredibly helpful and save a massive amount of time and inbox clutter. please fix asana!
Currently I can’t toggle on the “Mentions” notifications because the flood of notifications from task assignments, etc. swamps my email inbox.
But getting an email on a Mention is really, very, very important.
Please consider prioritising this feature - it is very much wanted.
+1. This feature would save a lot of time. Please take it into consideration.
+1 for me and my team as well, this would be incredibly helpful to avoid cluttered inboxes and make sure priority messages aren’t lost.
I am guessing this has not been solved since December 2024? I have my desktop notifications set to @ mentions only, and my inbox filter to be unread and @ mentions only, but still get inbox notification for anything I am a colab on. is there truly no way to only see notifications where I have been @ mentioned?
