Hi folks,
In the past month or two, the Asana Android app has stopped automatically capitalizing the first letter of a new task. Is there a setting I could change to go back to the old behavior?
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Asana app on Android
- Press red “+ New task” button
- Note the cursor is at “Task name…”
- Note that keyboard is ready to type with lowercase letters
- Type the word “test”
- Note that it renders as “test” (without initial capital)
- Press the “Description” field
- Note the cursor is at “Description”
- Note that keyboard is ready to type with uppercase letters
- Type the word “test”
- Note that it renders as “Test” (with initial capital)
Prior to 1-2 months ago, new tasks have always defaulted to having an automatic initial capitalization.
Here’s my environment:
- Android 16
- Asana app v8.68.2
I believe this behavior began in Sep 2025 – prior to the release of v8.68.2.
Anyone else experiencing this? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!
