We have a new problem, can’t recall experiencing it for the past 7 years using Asana.
A task starting with Å, å, Ä, ä, Ö, ö as a task name is not listed in search nor in @ commands, or in the feature of converting a task to a subtask of another task.
Completed tasks in the image work fine, but not the uncompleted ones starting with the nordic characters.

Totally another issue but the button to create [New topic] in the Bugs section here in Asana Community is disabled for me for some reason.

Regarding your issue with creating a new topic in the Forum - does this issue persist if you clear your cache and log out/log back in?

The problem seems to be larger than previously communicated. I now have examples of task names with the nordic characters in the middle of the name, not appearing in search results. So the problem is not limited to the first character in the task name.
I’ll get back to you with additional details from the new tests and on the other issue.
The problem seems intermittent in some way. I created a new test task where the letter å was in the task name and it worked as intended. I have a task gid example 1202272825279614, where I can search on task name until it includes any of the characters å,ä,ö then it responds “No matches found”.

@Rebecca_McGrath , regarding the community forum [New topic] issue, I’ve now tested with another browser and user. Same limitation in all scenarios.
The [New topic] button is disabled for the bugs category. Same as it is for me under “News” and “Events” categories. I’m able to create a New topic under all other categories. It seems like there are wrong user privileges set for the Bugs category. Like its limited to Asana Crew only.
