Unless I am mistaken, there is no way (without the use of a 3rd party app) to download attachments to the tasks? For example, we have tasks with dozens of documents and at the end of the task it would be nice to be able to export those attachments to a cloud drive; often documents are dropped to a task straight from an email, so don’t always get saved to the destination folder.
Not having this option seems inefficient.
This seems like such an easy feature to add and has been requested for 6 years. Our Company has hundreds of projects that all have dozens if not hundreds of files for each project that get uploaded. We used to use integromat to download files from specific tasks, but setting that up was equally inefficient. 3rd party services aren’t doing the trick. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Asana, tell the engineers to create a bulk download feature.
This still isn’t fixed?
it’s 2023 how is this basic of all functionalities which is offered by literally EVERY other service still not a part of asana? this alone is enough to make me want to find a vendor who can.
it’s mind boggling to think that after all of these years, they haven’t bothered adding a basic feature like this! it’s 2023…i don’t know of any other app that DOESN’T have this basic feature!
These forums are a sham. Asana has no intention of managing user voted requests. It has its own agenda. The forums are just to keep us appeased and make us think they care about what we want. There are so many basic requests here - many from 5+ years ago. But Asana believe that we need all of the new AI rubbish that is going into it because that makes our daily life better.
Well it doesn’t.
Please clean up these user-voted-requests because they are paper-cuts causing us to bleed. We don’t need fancy AI - we need every day tasks and actions to be more efficient and feature complete - and please stop patronising us with “you should upvote that request”.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us, @joehanna. We genuinely appreciate your perspective and understand your concerns.
At Asana, our goal is to create a product that empowers our users and helps them work more efficiently. We are dedicated to making improvements based on user feedback, and we are constantly evolving to meet the needs of our diverse user base.
I’d like to address some of the points you’ve made in your feedback. We do take user-voted requests seriously, and they play an important role in shaping the future of Asana. I recommend you checking this thread where we share more details: **Read me first** How you can give feedback and what we do next
Once again, thank you for your feedback. Your input is invaluable in helping us make Asana better for everyone. If you have any other specific questions, please feel free to reach out to me. I’m only a DM away!
it’s 2023 and I still download jpeg individually
2024… This should be a must have.
Would like it especially for collecting photos from the forms we send out to our employees, instead of having to click and download each one. Even better if it can download and rename the files with the task ID.
6.5 years later, zero updates. Welcome to Asana!
I use Simple Mass Downloader on Google Chrome for when I have a large number of images. It’s a bit of a faff, but way less than downloading them individually.
I suspect Asana do not want to implement the simple to develop ‘download all’ option because it would promote more use of large numbers of files and they don’t want an extended storage bill for those files.
another user astonished that this STILL hasn’t been added.
In my opinion an idea either has merit or it doesn’t. Maybe developers should use their judgement instead of a voting system. If an idea can improve the platform, implement it! In my case the app did not attach photos properly to a comment. There are other options out there…
Third-party plug-ins on Google Chrome definitely outweighs the security of a platform you pay a premium for, totally right!
Hey Asana get this done!
Yeah asana. +1 to all of this
