Well, the email specifically said to ask in the forum. So I don’t think they want people to contact support.
In any case, here is the exact wording of the email:
We noticed you have not logged into your Asana “Personal Projects” domain in the past two years. For security purposes, we are conducting a routine cleanup of inactive accounts.
If you do not resume activity in your “Personal Projects” domain within the next 15 days, your access to this domain will be deactivated, including losing access to your data in this domain. This will NOT affect your access to any other Asana domain, workspace or organization.
To maintain your account and keep your data, simply log into your “Personal Projects” domain and create at least 1 task. To access your Personal Projects log into your Asana account > click your profile picture > select “Personal Projects”.
If you have any questions about this update, please feel free to post them in our Community Forum, where our community managers and Forum Leaders will be happy to help.
Sorry you are experiencing this.
Personal Projects is one of the early spaces relating (potentially) to a private email address, outside your current work email.
When Asana tightened their privacy policy, accessing all domains from one email address was stopped.
If you remember setting up that Personal Projects domain, using another email address, perhaps try logging into using that email and see how you get on.
How do I know if I am part of the “Personal Projects” domain?: To access your “Personal Projects” log into your Asana account > click your profile picture > select “Personal Projects”. If the “Personal Projects” space is not present, you are not part of that legacy domain.
Hi everyone, thanks so much for your help here! And @Tonia_Kendrick, I’m really sorry for the hassle.
To clarify, this message specifically relates to Personal Projects spaces, which, as some of the Forum Leaders have mentioned, are part of an older model that Asana no longer supports. If you actively use your Asana account (organizations and workspaces), but not your Personal Projects specifically, you may receive this notification, but you can rest assured that the deletion of a Personal Projects space will not impact your other spaces in Asana.
If you’ve logged in and created a task in your Personal Projects space, it will automatically be removed from the deletion list. Please note, however, that these automated messages are scheduled a few days in advance, so it’s possible you were still on the list when the notification was scheduled.
If you continue receiving these notifications and want to double-check that your Personal Projects space won’t be deleted, I recommend reaching out to our Support team. They’ll be able to confirm the status of your account.
