Do we have access to the creation date of a task?

One of my Asana projects has a form that folks use to request work. So our tasks are automatically generated into the project. I know Asana tracks when a task is created because I see it at the bottom of the details panel.

Is there a way to access that information in a field? I’d love to have a “creation date” column in my project so folks can see when the request came in.
Thanks in advance.

It is accessible with the Asana API, but in the UI (unless you read the task stories).

@Zuad_Oropeza1, You can see a Creation Date column, and any other columns configured as you like, using Asana2Go:

In the video, go to the 3:50 mark to see Creation Date specifically.

Hope that might help,

Larry

Hi everyone!

I’m happy to announce we are launching the new Metadata fields, and you can now see the Creation date of the task in List view! With this update, you can add the following fields to the project list view by toggling them on from the Customize Menu:

  • Created on :tada:
  • Created by
  • Completed on
  • Last modified on

If you have any questions, please reach out via our #tips category!

Please note: these metadata fields are no longer found under the “Customize” menu as shown above; they’ve moved and are now found under the “Hide” menu:
