Currently, whenever someone adds new subtasks to a task, the Inbox activity shows up as “__ added new tasks.” This has started creating some confusion for our team since our supervisor zips through everything at a high level and sees new “tasks” that don’t make any sense to him and starts clicking into them individually to comment as much (instead of clicking on the whole notification to see the subtasks listed as part of the whole task, and once the subtask pane is open it looks the same as a regular task to him). I’m hoping to correct this with additional training on my end, but it would instantly reduce confusion if the notification simply said “Added new subtask” which is what’s actually happening.

Hi @Rachel_Floyd , that’s strange cos you can only be notified of tasks being added to a project, not subtasks. Unless the subtasks are somehow added to the project via a rule…?
Perhaps I’ve misread your post?
@Richard_Sather Maybe it’s a recent update, but I have been seeing manually added subtasks appear in the Inbox feed, albeit as “tasks” even though they’re definitely subtasks, which not every user can immediately identify.
