Is there a way to create a dashboard for a subtask that shows percent goal and percent actual? For example, I would like to create a pie chart that shows a specific goal, the target percent and the YTD actual. I would also need to pull a graph that shows numerical amounts. For example, our goal is to raise X amount of dollars and we have raised X amount YTD. Thank you
@anon99064000 - welcome to the forum! Using your fundraising example, how have you set up your projects/tasks to log this info currently? Do you have a task with a custom field that you’re updating as you raise more money?
There are a couple ways to do this currently:
- You could explore goals, but they don’t do a great job updating custom values automatically yet (I believe this is being worked on)
- You could use subtasks to roll up these values against the parent task’s target value in another field
- You could sum all the values in a dashboard and just have a separate value represent your target
A lot of this will depend on how you’re currently set up and how you’d like to work/set up in the future, but it should all be possible in some format.
