Dashboard reporting overdue tasks AND subtasks

I cant seem to create ONE singular chart that counts ALL tasks and ALL subtasks that are overdue. The options appear to be mutually exclusive. I dont want to create custom fields just want one report. Any thoughts out there on this?

@jbirkes, I think the following covers it. The trick is not to use the subtasks filter; the default is both tasks and subtasks:
