Create ability to move multiple tasks' dates forward the same length of time

The ability to select a series of subtasks with different due dates and move them forward for the same x amount of days would be really helpful.

Welcome, @Dolores_White1,

You can already do this in a couple of ways in Asana.

One way in Timeline or Gantt views; click+drag to lasso multiple tasks, or Ctrl/Cmd+Click multiple tasks, then move any one of them left or right to move them all relatively.

Another: See the Asana help:

Auto shifting dates for dependent tasks

Thanks,

Larry

The link seems to be broken. Can you please fix it?

@Forum-team, Do you know what happened to the topic I linked to? It currently gives “Oops! That page doesn’t exist or is private.” and I can’t find it in search. Also, I found that the help link was broken too and manually fixed it. Should we expect to keep finding broken help links? I thought they were all remedied after the switch to the new help system?

@Ka_Nishiyama, I updated the post to explain how to move multiple tasks relatively.

Thanks,

Larry

Hi @lpb, it looks like the topic was in a private staff category and for this reason you couldn’t access. I’ve moved it back to English Forum > Tips and Tricks!

Regarding the Help Center article, there are still a few articles that couldn’t be automatically redirected to their new links due to a URL issue. Unfortunately, these will need to be updated manually.

Discourse has provided us with a report to help identify all affected links, and we’re working through them as quickly as possible. If you happen to come across any outdated links, feel free to update them or flag them to us.

Thanks for your understanding, and apologies for any inconvenience!
