I want to resurface this note which is quite poetic: “Often in comments new ideas are born, so tasks to be created.”
So, I want to request a feature for easily creating a new task from a comment.
One idea is to be able to use the dropdown on the right of every comment, and select an option like “Create new task.”

That is so true. I love this idea!
Another way to go about this is to select text and get the option to “create task” in the same way we get a context menu in the forum for a quote.
Drawback of this idea could be that the text changes when the task description changes, so it may leave the comment less readable, so your suggestion makes more sense.
Would really be convenient if we can just create task, and Asana will fix the back and forth connection:
Task originated in comment comment link
and in the original comment thread add:
Task(s) created from comment: comment link
task link
or something like that.
