Create new task from comment

Hi @lpb , I think this topic should be reopened.

There are a few comments including this one that describe a feature request that your solution doesn’t address. Your solution shows a useful workflow for creating subtasks, but it doesn’t show how to create a new task out of a comment.

One idea is to be able to use the dropdown on the right of every comment, and select an option like “Create new task.”

Would you mind creating a new Product Feedback request specifically for the comment-to-new-task idea (and voting for it!)? The title you have here is good, and I like your idea.

If you can incorporate anything else into your post that’s great, or I could potentially merge posts from the old thread there if appropriate.

I want to resurface this note which is quite poetic: “Often in comments new ideas are born, so tasks to be created.” So, I want to request a feature for easily creating a new task from a comment. One idea is to be able to use the dropdown on the right of every comment, and select an option like “Create new task.” [image]
