With the new functionality to create tasks by Tab + N, I dont know anymore how to conver an existing task to a section. Is this still possible?

I wanted to do this too. Please bring this back. It was easy to do and really helpful. Now I have to create a whole new section and I don’t want to do that. I just want to make my damn task a section and now I can’t anymore !!

Adding a semicolon after a task name was so simple and smart. So sad this was cancelled.
Adding my desire to have this feature again - this feature is a really useful and powerful ability to help planning to be agile and fluid!

Unfortunately, it looks like this also breaks the ability to include section headings when you import an Asana project for CSV, as described here: New: Import Spreadsheets and CSV Files to Asana Projects
Please bring this back. Fluidity between Asana projects and Excel and text docs is one of Asana’s killer apps. If we lose that, it makes it harder for our team to use it with other contractors and teams within our company, and eventually creates internal pressure for us to stop using it.
Please bring back this functionality.

Indeed! PLEASE BRING THIS BACK! Current state substantially interrupts workflow and duplicative effort.
I just started using timeline (exiting!) but my subtasks didn’t pull in. I then added my subtasks to the project, as described in the help article but they clog everything up and it is difficult to see in timeline what they belong to.
I realized that for timeline to work I would need to have my tasks as the sections, and subtasks as tasks (move everything up one “layer” of organization) which brought me to this question “how do I convert tasks to sections” and clearly I cannot!
All this being said, this is a really important functionality for all users who want to start using some of your more advanced features, so we can convert our current organization to the layers that work for that feature.
Please bring this feature back - right now I cannot use timelines as it would take days to convert all my tasks and subtasks

Can only agree with the other voices here. Please permit the simple ability to change tasks into sections by adding a semi-colon at the end of the task title.
In my opinion, the semi-colon is long gone guys. Maybe they could add a button in the right click menu, but a new menu entry just to transfer a few words, not sure I would want the menu to be cluttered… If sections had description, it would be different, but right now we are talking about saving literally 2 sec with copy-paste.

+1 … when you copy/paste a list of 20-30 items, it’s nice to be able to use a quick tool (semi-colon) to clean it up.
