Hello everyone!
Sometimes we see this problem: user A writes a comment to user B in a task using @. But user B does not receive a notification about this comment in the Inbox. This comment is simply not in the Inbox. Thus, user B does not learn about important moments in time.
The same situation occurs when user B is the performer in the task. User A leaves a comment in the task, where user B is the performer. But user B does not receive a notification about this comment in the Inbox. Please tell me what could be the reasons? And how can I avoid such behavior?
@Залия_Дюкина - welcome to the forum! I don’t believe it’s possible to turn off @-mention notifications. Asana does batch together actions on the same task, so if someone @-mentions someone else and then also changes the due date or performs some other action on the same task, Asana will condense all those notifications down to 1 in their inbox.
Are these users receiving no notifications for these tasks at all, or just not the ones that say “x mentioned you in this task”? It’s I guess possible that someone is going in and removing people as collaborators on tasks, but that’s a lot of effort and not something you can easily do by accident.
Is there any chance that these users in their Asana Inboxes either are:
- applying a filter, thereby hiding certain notification, and/or
- don’t have “…” menu > Expand notifications toggled on?
If none of these things helps, I recommend you contact Support. Temporarily, do this:
