Comment is added trigger to allow a filter for specific users

I’m currently trying to setup a rule that automatically sends notifications to Slack when certain users (our clients) comment on tasks.

This is possible through AI Studio, but with the volume of comments being added, the rule has burnt through our free credits extremely quickly.

I’ve added a mockup screenshot (terribly done by AI :joy:) as to what I would envision this to look like, please help Asana! :slight_smile:

You don’t actually need to use AI Studio or burn through credits to make this happen. You can set this up directly within Asana’s native Rule Builder using standard triggers and actions, combined with a Slack integration.

I have tried to do the same thing but it is sending any comments to slack vs specific ones. Do you have a rule set up you can screenshot? Thanks!

I totally get that filtering the comment trigger by specific users would save a lot of noise and credits. I work at Asana and can confirm this isn’t available in rules today.

You can post this to be added to the Rules without AI in the Product feedback category so others can upvote too. :blush:
