[App Rules] Announce task in Slack channel when _specific_ comment is posted in Asana

Hi,

I’d like to announce/publish a task to Slack only if a specific comment is posted on the task in Asana. For example, I’d like the task to show up in channel #announcements when someone writes @announce as a comment for the task in Asana.

Is this possible, and if so, how would you configure this?

Hi @Johan_Haleby, welcome to the Asana Community Forum!

As it stands, it’s currently not possible to send a notification to a slack channel when a specific comment is posted on a task. I suggest you having a look at this link from zapier to see if they offer this option:

Our team is working on improvements for our Rules feature and I’ll let you know if this is something we are planning!

Hi @Johan_Haleby, we just announcement our new feature that allows to connect Rules in Asana to other apps like Slack! Although it won’t be possible to create a rule for specific comments, you can certainly set that when there are new comments on tasks, a notification is set to a channel.
