My organization is opening a new store and I want to create a rollup status report that tracks tasks by phases and breaks out the status (red, yellow, green). This way we can see 5 red tasks in Phase 1, 3 red tasks in Phase 2, etc.
Right now, I’m only able to create a separate chart for each phase that identifies the number of tasks in that status. I’m imagining a bar chart with Phase 1, Phase 2, etc. on the x-axis and within that, separate bars that identify red, yellow, green and the number of tasks. The y-axis would give the number of tasks.
Is Asana capable of this? Do I need to use another app and import it? Help please!

Hi @anon64446957, welcome to the Asana Community forum
At this time, it’s not possible to include multiple values on the X axis of a chart. I’ve gone ahead and moved your post to the #productfeedback category to give you and other users the opportunity to vote for this feature.
Hopefully it’s something our Product team can implement in the future as they iterate on Reporting. I’ll keep you posted and let you know if I have any updates

Hi @anon64446957 @Rebecca_McGrath @anon62460815
Just wanted to let you know that the Analytics & Reports add-on by Screenful provides advanced charting for Asana, including the multi-bar chart which allows displaying multiple metrics (including custom fields) on the X axis. Here’s an example chart:
You can learn more about the custom charts, or see the product tour.
I’m looking for this feature as well. The Dashboard, while nice, is really limited with a single x axis value for every chart.

Hi Sami,
That’s very helpful, do you know if the Analytics & Reports add-on requires additional $$$?
or, it comes with Asana?
Thanks
Hi @BANRUO_YU Analytics & Reports by Screenful is a separate product with its own pricing which you can learn more at Screenful Pricing
I have two charts:
- x - date, y - quantity of completed tasks
2)x - date, y - quantity of created tasks
I need these two lines to be on the same chart (to compare these values). It seems there are no such functionality in Dashboards - to add one more value for y.

Yeah, you’d have to create separate graphs. Alternatively, for advanced reporting capabilities, you can use tools such as Screenful
I have merged your post into an existing feedback request thread, don’t forget to upvote there.
