Can you favorite or pin a Form within your organization?

We are using the creative request template to manage all internal needs, but I’m wondering if you can create a shortcut to the form that lives in your left rail? See my awesome mock-up. I know I can ask people to bookmark it but if this function exists, that’d be ideal.

Hi @anon17435669. Bookmarking the form may be the easiest solution. I don’t believe you can pin a Form (or hyperlink) to the left side panel. You can obviously “favourite” the Creative Request Template to keep it easily accessible, and get to the Form there. Another workaround if you don’t want to go through the template is to create a project called Creative Form Link and then place the hyperlink in a task description. See below for example:

I really like to use the Calendar View for our Art Request Form Project, but I leave the Default View as List so that anyone who needs to fill out the form has easy access to the task with instructions. There’s also a link in there to a Print Request Form that has to live in another project since we can only have one form per project.

I do not ask them to click the form tab and access the link that way because more than once folks have accidentally edited the form instead of filling it out. Some of these folks do need to make edits to tasks so I cannot restrict their access, which also means they have access to editing the form. Having a place to Pin the Form Link or the task with no due date to the top of the calendar would allow us to keep a default view of the Calendar while still featuring the form they need.

Another solve might be if there were a “Only I can edit this form” option like there is for Custom Fields, “Only I can edit this field’s settings.” Or if there were 2 separate views for the Form tab - Active Form and Form Editor. I also don’t see a need for the Form Editor to be the default view since most folks clicking the tab to use the form will not need to be editing but using it. And maybe it could be “Use Form” or “Fill Out Form” instead of “View Form”. Just spitballing some ideas. For now the task with the link and instructions is working well enough.
