Can an account admin get admin permissions on a project without being a project admin on it?

Hi all,

My team is trying to clean up our Asana projects, but there’s a project we want to archive except that it only has a single Project Admin and she’s on maternity leave!

As the account admin for our Asana account, is there anything I can do to add another Project Admin or otherwise get the ability to archive this project while she’s away? Or will I have to remove her as an Asana member to get access to it?

Hi @EJ_Mann

This is something that cannot be done at this moment.
But if you reach out to support, here is how you can contact them: How to contact our Support Team ✉

They will assist.

@EJ_Mann - if you are on an enterprise account, you could also try creating a service account and then using the memberships API to add yourself or your team as admins (this is how my team currently does it; not ideal but it works in a pinch).

Thanks for the thought, but we’re on a Business account.
