Hello. I want to know if there is some way to make a field that shows as:
ready (green) for tasks with no dependencies remaining
blocked (red) for tasks with dependencies remaining
I do this manually for my tasks with a “my task field.” I want to provide this to the rest of the team. The idea is to have a field that is more visible than the open check and timer that are built into Asana. Also, in my task list, I sort by this field, which moves all the items that are ready for me to the top of my list.
I’m guessing that by “with no dependencies remaining”, you mean that the task is no longer blocked.
If that is the case, and your plan allows you to use Custom Rules, you could create a rule based on the trigger called “Task is no longer blocked”.
This way, as soon as the task is “unblocked”, the rule will change your Custom field “Dependency Status”.
