Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
Have noticed that when clicking the “+” next to the column or the “+ Add Task” button in board view the task is always created at the top of the column. Even if the sorting is by due date.
Steps to reproduce:
Have recorded the process via loom.
Browser version:
Both Chrome and Asana Windows Desktop App.

My hunch here is that this is expected behaviour and you would need to refresh the page after adding the tasks for it to be sorted by your selected parameters (although I know this isn’t the case in List view).
However, I’ve gone ahead and escalated this to our Product team for clarification! I’ll keep you posted

Yes if you refresh or swap to list view or calendar view it does update it to being correct.

I agree, probably because others said “I created a task that disappeared right away”
