Auto Save Documents/Files in Project Details?

In Microsoft Teams, one can create a team and share files with other collaborators. Files can be opened and worked on within the team or by opening the actual app (Word, Excel, etc.). Changes made to the documents are automatically saved within the folder of that team.

Does Asana do something similar? (And I just haven’t figured out the trick?)

We use the Project Details in the task to collaborate and subtasks are what actually drive our actions. We can attach files into the Project Details but the file will have to be downloaded, saved externally, and re-uploaded into the Project Details of that task. Is there a workaround?

Hi @Kao_Yongvang, welcome to the Asana Community Forum! You can currently attach files from Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive/SharePoint directly into the Key Resources in the Project Overview. When someone open the document, they shouldn’t be prompted to download it but to edit the existing document.

Please note, each of these integrations have their own set of permissions associated to their files. Our integration does not change your files’ permissions whatsoever, so you may also need to share the file with your colleagues after attaching it.

I hope this helps!
