Hello.
Whenever I go to add a rule where Slack channel or Slack Direct Message is triggered, it just hangs and says ‘Something went wrong. Try again later.’
This happens on both OSX app and WebApp.
Anyone else experience this issue?
What can be done to resolve it?
Thanks
Hi @anon81550308, welcome to the Asana Community forum
Let’s try to resolve this together! In order to send Channel messages to Slack, you must first have the Asana app added to that Channel in Slack. Is this done?
- Access your Slack Channel
- Click on the “i” information button on its top right corner
- In the left side bar, click on the 3 dots icon “More” button
- From the dropdown list, do you see the line "View X app(s) in “Your channel name”?
-
If not, this means that the Asana BOT was not added to the channel. In this same dropdown list click on Add apps and add the Asana app
-
If yes, click on "View X app(s) in “Your Channel name” and remove Asana, then follow the step just above to add it back
Let me know if this helped resolve your issue
Thanks Rebecca,
I was able to figure it out.
In Slack App:
Click on the + beside Apps and add the Asana App
Once added, right-click on the Asana App in Slack (Mac or Windows) and select ‘Open App Details’, and make sure the channel is added to ‘Add this app to a channel’.
Then right-click on the channel (Mac or Windows) and select Open Channel Details. Under Integrations, select Add Apps and also add the Asana App
Got it working now.
Thanks again.
Hi there. I am having the same issue but this answer didn’t resolve it.
Any idea why it’s still happening?
My team-mates are managing to create rules while my account is stuck on “Something went wrong”
Hi there, I’m still having the same problem even when I followed all the steps.
