Asana personal projects tab?

OK Team. I have an “Asana Personal Projects” side to my Asana account that is listed under “Organizations” and I’m pretty sure this is stuff that nobody else in the company can see.

I am trying to show my team mates how to set this up, so that they can take confidential notes, particularly of things that other team members definitely don’t ever need to see (these are supervisors and may take occasional personnel notes).

I know it’s set up as an Asana Personal account and does not have the Asana Advanced features that our business has (which is OK).

I honestly have no idea how I got this Asana Personal Projects thing under Organizations and I’ve been using it for years. Can anyone help me figure out:

  1. Is this actually confidential?
  2. How can I help my team members set their own up as a confidential personal list that cannot be viewed by anyone else other than people they invite?

Hi @Matt, thank you for posting! You are correct, “Personal Projects” is a legacy space in Asana where you can keep your personal work private.

We’re currently in the process of deprecating Personal Projects, so new accounts will no longer have Personal Projects as a default space. However, existing legacy Personal Projects will remain intact.

This change is because Personal Projects don’t offer the same functionality as organizations or workspaces.

As we phase out Personal Projects, we recommend using workspaces as an alternative for managing personal work.

I hope this helps!
