"Asana must be reloaded" whenever I try to open Asana on my Browser.

I was trying to open my Asana tasks, but I keep getting the message “Asana must be reloaded” whenever I try to access it through my browser.

I got the same problem too, and it’s very urgent for me! Hopefully someone will get in touch ASAP

Have you tried these browser tips @Charlene_Yamut Asana provides at their :right_arrow: Asana Help Center ? They even have a section regarding the exact problem you’re experiencing has any of that worked?

I’m also having this issue. Tried all the troubleshooting tips but it still persisted. Opened a support ticket on the 10th but no response yet. Issue persists and it is affecting my ability to work.

What type of device are you using? Is it possible for you to try on a completely new device?

Hi @Levar_M thanks for checking in. :slight_smile: I’ve tried it on two laptops, one of which I’ve been using Asana on for several years with no issue. Still getting the same message.

What operating system are you using @WorkingWorking ? And is it possible for you to try on a cell phone?
Also are you having issues trying to open Asana on your web browser? Or are you having issues using the Asana application?

Connectivity test result:

I’m using it on a web browser (Edge). I have also tried it on Firefox, and am having the same issue. Tested on an Asus and a Microsoft laptop, Windows 10.
I’m unable to test on a cell phone.

I eventually got a response from Asana:

"Please note that we currently have a limit of 65400 characters for our task descriptions/task comments . If you are trying to copy/paste a text in the description/comment box, which exceeds this limit, we will trigger a crash and once Asana reloads the added text is gone.

With that in mind, we kindly advise you to please split your text up in different tasks/different comments in order to prevent you from reaching this limit / triggering this error again."

This was crashing all of the Asana tabs i had open (3 or 4), and not just the task with a large body of characters. After around a week it seemed to resolve on its own, without me changing anything.

I hope this is helpful to anyone else with this issue.
