Error: "We need you to reload Asana"

I am currently getting an issue where it is saying I need to reload asana. I reload asana and it displays the message again and again. I have tried other browsers / logins / computers and nothing seems to fix it.

I am trying to figure out how I can report something which is critical faster. I have submitted a support ticket however they say 3 business days to address it? I have also looked at https://status.asana.com/ and in the region i am in (australia) doesnt seem to report anything as an issue, yet not being able to access asana entirely seems like a pretty critical issue.

Anyway, does anyone know how to report these sorts of issues faster?

I also have the same problem for my entire organisation. We are in Perth Australia. Clearly there is an issue.

This is happening to me too, right now and I can’t access my Asana at all (also in Oz).
I keep reloading and the error message reappears.

Asana suddenly asked to be reloaded as the app is “outdated”, so I did but it just kept asking to be reloaded. I did try opening it on the browser and got the same error. I uninstall and reinstall the app, but it still asks me to reload. I don’t know what to do at this point.

This is currently an issue here in Australia - there is another thread about “how to report issues” that has Australian users unable to access Asana correctly/at all. I am one of them (out of Perth Australia).

When I log into Asana, I receive the following error:

"We need you to reload Asana. While you were working, we were too! To incorporate the updates, simply hit Reload.

If you were in the middle of typing something, please close this message, copy the text, and then refresh.

We apologize for interrupting your flow. Thank you for accommodating us as we continually improve Asana."

I hit the reload button, and then the same window pops up in an endless loop. When I try to close the window, the bottom left of my screen has an error message that reads: “Out of date, please refresh.”

I’ve gotten this error and 2 browsers (Chrome and Safari) and the desktop app. My browsers are up to date, and I’ve cleared my browser history and cache and keep getting the error. The only way I’m able to open Asana is with the mobile app.

Has anyone experienced this issue? What do I do to solve this?

This seems to be happening for Australian based accounts. We are in Perth Australia and cannot access any projects. Asana status is not up to date at the moment.

We are having the exact same issue. I have also come here looking for answers. I initially thought that Asana might be down, but their status page suggests everything is ok.
I am trying to figure out how to contact Asana to let them know of the issue, but can’t find any way of doing so.
Hopefully someone here has answers.

Aaron, I’ve never created a thread here before, but is there a “report a bug” option you can add?

Exactly the same issue here in QLD Australia, and as our daily schedule is based from a large list of Asana tasks we are in a frustrated mess. I’ve submitted a ticket, but so far just had the AI bot bouncing back unhelpful answers.

My issue just resolved as well. Must have been a system issue that Asana just fixed.

There’s no faster way than the support route you already took. FYI don’t send a follow-up email as that will push your ticket to the back of the queue.
