We seem to be experiencing this issue again on one of our clients end. Is there any way to resolve this?
Hi @Olga_Kempen, I’m sorry to hear about the issue. I’ve consulted with our Development team, and they’ve confirmed that recent changes to Outlook’s authentication framework have impacted our Add-in, causing attachments to not be added to both newly created and existing tasks.
Although this issue is similar to the previous one (Asana for Outlook add-in not adding attachments to tasks), it’s a new and unrelated problem. I’m moving your comment to a new topic to better track and share updates.
Our Developers are actively working with Microsoft on a fix, but unfortunately, they can’t provide an exact ETA just yet. I’ll be sure to share any updates here in the thread as soon as they’re available.
Thank you for your patience!
@Vanessa_N Is there any update on this?
Thanks for creating this as a new post @Vanessa_N
Fingers crossed it does not take long to resolve.
Hi @Rashad_Issa and @Shahlla_Karmali, our Developers let me know that the recently released improvements to the add-in should have resolved the attachment issue.
If you’re still running into problems, it could mean the add-in hasn’t updated yet, or there may be some cached data that needs to be cleared.
As part of the update, a new message was added to the attachments field:
“Uploading email attachments may require additional access permissions.”
If you see this message (as shown below), that means you’re on the latest version:
If you don’t see it, you’ll need to update your add-in.
And if you’re still having issues, whether with updating or with attachments despite being on the latest version, please reach out to our Support team. They’ll need to take a closer look at your domain settings to help troubleshoot further.
Thank you!
Tested and issue is resolved. Thanks a lot @Vanessa_N
